CarnfunnockCarnfunnock Country Park is a short drive (3 mile) by car or a very pleasant leisurely walk from Ballygally which passes Cairndhu Golf course which can be seen from the country path. The Country Park consists of 473 acres of mixed woodland, colourful gardens, ponds, walking trails, beaches and coastline.

Attractions include a walled garden with unique sundials and a vast range of exotic plants and trees, a maze (sculpted in the shape of Northern Ireland), orienteering course (and treasure hunts), children's adventure playground (complete with crazy golf; a putting green; giant chess set, table tennis), education centre and miniature railway and bouncy castle, wildlife garden, 

There is also a modern visitors centre with gifts and a coffee shop and an Activity Centre for the children. Carnfunnock also boasts a nine hole golf course, all ages and standards of golfer are welcome.  No membership or prior booking is required and club hire is available. Enjoy unlimited rounds of golf in one day including free car parking, subject to validation of tickets at the time of payment.


Carnfunnock recently launched a 'Magnificent Maths Trail' which originates in the walled garden.  This is an excellent activity for ten year olds and older, there is a Maths Trail Workbook accompanying this innovative initiative.
